Know us Better

Our name, “VALIData”, is the fusion of two words, which define our mandate and values, that is, “Valid” and “Data”. This is because we are ever duty—bound to carry out researches that generate valid and hence reliable data to inform sound decisions that our clients long to make when they contract us..

Our Vision

A one—stop international hub of community development—focused social re-search and allied services

Our Mission

To generate and deliver valid and reliable research evidence for relevant, effec-tive, efficient, transforming and sustainable community development programs and policies worldwide.

Our Objectives

At VAL!Data we have five objectives which are as follows

i) To carry out social research for use as evidence to inform social policies and strategies for community development programs.

ii) To publish and disseminate research findings in multiple formats and languages for diverse audiences.

iii) To repackage research—based community development knowledge into diverse audio and visual media formats for non—technical stakeholding users.

iv) To facilitate pre and post—research processes for organisational and community development.

v) To deliver training in wide ranging research and allied skills, targeting young aspirants and staff of organisa-tions that may place a demand for such services.

Triangulating all the way!

In doing all our researches we insist on triangulation of data and its sources based on an understanding gained over decades of experience that the most balanced picture of a researched reality comes from combining multiple research methods, data sources and analytical systems.
Accordingly, we are uniquely renowned for Triangulating all the way and, as a result, Informing sound decisions.

Research—informed book and paper publishing and information dissemination

This involves writing research papers and books on topical community development matters for wider sharing through conferences, symposia, workshops, etc.

Documentation / Dissemination

We understand that research is for the consumption of every community member, yet not all are conversant with social sci-ence rhetoric. We therefore repackage com-plex research facts into simpler formats for lay people, e.g., video documentaries, summaries in local languages, etc.

Pre and post—research process facilitation

in order to translate research knowledge into action we facilitate such follow—up processes as strategic planning, program design, proposal writing, resource mobilization, M&E framework development sessions.
